Refreshing Drinks in Summer

Pineapple Orange Drink




Ingredients

  • 6 cups orange juice
  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) unsweetened crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 16 ice cubes

Directions


1.Place half of the orange juice, pineapple and ice cubes in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Pour into chilled glasses.
Serve immediately.
Yield: 8 servings.


Spicy Buttermilk:



Its time to make chilled fun drinks and stay cool. One of the popular thirst quencher is Spicy Buttermilk. It  tastes rich, low in fat and calories, very helpful for diet conscious people..!
 

Here is the cool and savory drink recipe..!



Ingredients:


·         Green chilly                   - 1
·         Curd                             - 1 cup
·         Ginger                           - small piece
·         Asafetida                       - a pinch
·         Curry leaves                  - few
·         Salt to taste



Method:








1.     Mix curd with 4 cups of water.
2.     Churn well.
3.     Finely chop green chilly.
4.     Grate ginger to small pieces.
5.     Mix all the above ingredients.
6.     Add salt, asafetida and stir well.
7.     Refrigerate it and serve chilled.










8.     Healthy and spicy buttermilk ready to taste..!


Mint Ice Tea:


Mint ice tea is a quick and easy, refreshingly delicious drink on a hot summer day. It goes well with all types of cuisines. Its very easy to prepare this..We will need fresh mint leaves, green tea packet, honey and ice cubes. 

Its a perfect summer beverage for children, as this contains no caffeine.  This bright, mellow and energizing drink tastes incredibly delicious, with ice cubes.

Also, you can take Mint tea hot, if you feel as though you’re getting a sore throat or cold.  It is certainly soothing…!

And here is the delicious mint tea recipe, the whole family will enjoy..:)

Ingredients:


  • Green tea                      - 1 packet
  • Mint leaves                   - ½ cup
  • Honey                           - 1 tbsp
  • Ice cubes                      - handful

Method:


  1. Heat 2 cups of water in a bowl.
  2. Add tea sachet, mint leaves and allow to boil.
  3. Don’t over boil, this will make the tea bitter.
  4. Keep covered and turn off the flame.
  5. Let it cool for 5 mins.
  6. Filter the contents.
  7. Add a tbsp of honey and stir well.
  8. Refrigerate and garnish with fresh mint leaves or lemon grass.
  9. Place several ice cubes in a glass and pour the minted tea.
